Kearney Middle School
Challenging and Engaging for Success

The Bulldog Zone

Kearney Middle School Bulldog Zone 2020-2021 Information

Who:  Kearney Middle School students whose parents have registered them for the program.  The registration link is https://bit.ly/33g9sHv

What:  Extra time in the building for students to use the district’s wifi, study, and complete homework.  Teachers will supervise students.  Due to COVID, one on one tutoring is unable to be provided at this time.  Social distancing and masks are required.  Teachers will be available to assist students who need help to find resources and to answer questions about schoolwork.

When: Tuesday (for B day students) and Thursday (for A day students) until 4:00 p.m.  We will not have Bulldog Zone the week of October 26th due to Parent-Teacher conferences.

Where:  Kearney Middle School Library

Why:  We want to help students succeed academically.  This time allows students to complete their work and get help from teachers as needed before they go home.

Transportation:  It is not provided for after school programs.  Students should be picked up at 4:00 p.m. at the front door parking lot.  No supervision is provided after 4:00 p.m.  Students may walk home if it is indicated on the permission form.

In the past we have had parents come into the Library to sign out their child if they need to pick up their child before 4:00 p.m.  This year, please call the school office and they will notify Bulldog Zone.  We will send your child out to you.  You may also text your child and have your child show one of the Bulldog Zone teachers and then your child will be sent out to you.
